CD/Download “The Carnival Papers”
Available Now
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 429 Records’ acclaimed singer/songwriter Steve Reynolds will be front and center on the iTunes Music Store site the week of July 1st as the song “Save Your Best,” taken from his new CD THE CARNIVAL PAPERS, has been chosen as the “Discovery Download” single. For seven days beginning July 1st, “Save Your Best” will be offered as a free download. THE CARNIVAL PAPERS, the full-length album, is currently available for download and in select independent music retailers.
Steve Reynolds is a storyteller and the embodiment of the modern rock troubadour--he’s a singer, a songwriter and a masterful guitar player. With his second project for 429 Records, THE CARNIVAL PAPERS, Reynolds presents carefully crafted songs quietly weaving hypnotic tales of love and life with both lushly acoustic and transcendently electric backdrops.
Over the past few years Reynolds has quietly been creating an ever-more accomplished body of work and building a fan base touring constantly in the US and the UK. His immaculately crafted songs have garnered high profile acclaim in the press—No Depression, Entertainment Weekly, Performing Songwriter and Rolling Stone to name a few have all singled out Reynolds as an undeniable talent. Noted Rolling Stone on his interpretation of The Band’s song “Stage Fright”: “Newcomer Steve Reynolds’ stripped-back ‘Stage Fright’ would make even the Hawks proud.”
429 Records, in a unique move, released THE CARNIVAL PAPERS in both wide digital distribution (online) and limited traditional CD distribution (Amazon, indie retail, on tour stops). Says Sheila Volpe, VP of Marketing, 429 Records: “We’re distributing the record strategically to hit both the widest consumer base possible while at the same time honing in more effectively on his fan base.”
Steve will embark on a Summer-long tour to promote THE CARNIVAL PAPERS. Dates TBA.
